We would like express our gratitude for your support during CanFURence’s past three years. All of your friendship, kindness, and encouragement is and has always been deeply appreciated. As CanFURence continues to evolve, QuyetPawz and Arc are bowing out of the Chair role to focus on supporting the convention as Board Members and running key departments.
Regarding the mystery, QuyetPawz & Arc are suspects in the “murder” of AirGuiTaR that occurred during closing ceremonies 2018... You will want to come to CanFURence 2019 to see whether they are found to be guilty. Fear not! You will find them at CanFURence this year doing all they can to keep the Mystery alive as a new duo will be stepping up to the stage to work with Betsy the Beaver to find those responsible for AirGuiTaR’s “murder”.

The TIger's Growls: From BT-Armistice
As my fellow felines would say: Mew! That means hello….
As we arrive at our convention’s 4th year, I look back upon the long road that has brought us here. Alongside my canine Co-Chair, Conreeaght, I look forward to the new challenges of helping to continue to provide a fun filled weekend that our attendees can enjoy. From our humble start which became our first Pawprints event, to our time spent at the Alt Hotel in our first years. At our current home at the Brookstreet Hotel, where last August we raised just over $10,000 for Courageous Companions. With the help of our Furry Nation, we have set out on an unforgettable adventure and put on many a show stopping event. What the road ahead of us holds is a Mystery, and that is a challenge our team is always ready to tackle.
In 2002, my first Furry Convention was C-ACE, the pioneer for CanFURence and other notable furry conventions within Canada. I attended 4 out of the 5 years of C-ACE and discovered a unique and creative community in which allowed me to grow as an individual and as a performer. I joined CanFURence during the planning years as a member of the Board of Directors as well as leading the Programing team and aiding our audio visual, fursuit track and gaming departments.
To put a convention of this magnitude together is not a small task. To that mind, I would love to thank the staff and volunteers for their tireless efforts to make CanFURence what it is today. I stand in awe of the unbelievable amount of effort that our team has put forth.
I would also like to thank our Guest of Honour, Betsy the Beaver, who has worked graciously with our team to provide amazing artwork for our convention and taking time out of their busy schedule to join us in August.
All the best.

The Wolf's Howls: From Conreeaght
Dear Friends,
I have been with the convention since its first year in 2016. Coincidentally, the convention announcement came to pass at the same time I moved to our Nation's Capital, Ottawa, and I’m happy to have been a volunteer since. My skills lend well to working with the CanFURence Operations department. I have undertaken more responsibilities as the convention continues to evolve, such as creating the all-new Attendee Services team to be directly responsible for the needs of all CanFURence conventioneers, in both the present, and the future. I am eager to learn, grow, and improve for the future of CanFURence.
We are a great team of board members, department heads, staff, and volunteers that are all important to making the convention happen. With everyone’s help, I aim to overcome any hurdle that we may encounter along the way. I am very proud to support and represent CanFURence as we put together the best experience that can be delivered. While I cannot share all of the Mysteries of the future, I will say that there are some great and wonderful things already on the horizon that I simply cannot wait to deliver.
It is at this time I would like to extend a paw and invite everyfur to come and join with us as we celebrate the fandom. Help us bring furry to Canada's Capital Convention, and look forward to seeing you all in the years to come.
With warmest regards, and hope to see you soon!

On October 6th, 2018, we had to postpone the October Pawprints at the Pub due to a last-minute scheduling conflict with the venue which, sadly, could not be avoided.
After a discussion at that time with the new bar management and current owners of our host (Pub 101,) we came to the conclusion that this venue was not the right spot to be the home of our Pawprints events. Between changes in management, changes to our agreement with the Pub, and the feedback provided by attendees on the first Pawprints in the Pub survey which highlighted issues with the space, including accessibility for those with disabilities, it became apparent that the Pawprints in the Pub events were not going to develop into the inclusive, casual, monthly get-together we had hoped they would. As a result, all future Pawprints in the Pub are being cancelled indefinitely.
Does this mean there won’t be anymore Pawprints events?
We love hosting the Pawprints events and, in fact, are looking to gather information to see what you want from a Pawprints event.
This is where you can help. We have created a small survey to help us find out what type of events we should host, and how frequently. If you’ve been to one of our previous events, or just have your own opinions to share, please participate. This will allow us to try and locate a suitable venue that can meet the needs of most of you so that we can continue to provide fun, furry-filled events.
Help us out by filling out the survey!

Join us as the Furry Mystery is investigated with our Guest of Honour Betsy The Beaver!
We put out a very fast announcement that Pawprints in the Pub on October 6, 2018 (hosted at Pub 101) was cancelled.
Our top priority was to swiftly notify you that the event was cancelled so everyone who was going to attend could make other plans.
We’ve ensured everyone who registered for Pawprints in the Pub for October has been refunded due to the cancellation. Now we can address the reason why: a last-minute conflict in scheduling came up that we could not fix for October. The CanFURence Board of Directors is working to address this for the future as quickly as possible so we can all get back to our regularly scheduled Pawprints!
