Attention all passengers,
There has been some confusion over CanFURence’s COVID policy.
CanFURence's COVID policy has always tried to closely follow public health recommendations, which have changed as the understanding of the virus has changed.
At this time the recommendation is an isolation period of 10 days. All of this is to protect the health and safety of all attendees, but especially anyone who may be immunocompromised. You may find more information about the specifics of the public policy here: https://covid-19.ontario.ca/exposed
What does this mean for CanFURence?
All of our prior regulations remain the same, and will be enforced.
In particular:
- mandatory masking at all times within event space
- proof of vaccination at time of admission
- International travelers will require ArriveCan verification.
The only change is the time before the convention where an attendee tests positive for COVID-19.
Previously, if you tested positive for COVID 14 days (two weeks) prior to the convention we would have to refuse your admission.
In line with current recommendations, that period has been reduced to 10 days.
With regret, our ticketmaster will be turning away ticket holders should they test positive for COVID-19 within 10 days of the con.
If you test positive on the 18th of July or later, our ticketmaster will not take your ticket.
We profusely apologize for any issues that have arisen due to this. We will do what we can to assist anyone with additional questions or concerns.
